We fundraise to maintain this five acre site with provision of new challenging play equipment. This community play area known locally as Fairhill benefits many people in and around Alston as well as visitors on the moor. Currently we are fund-raising to develop a new pump track cycling facility.

Training Ship Danae is are a uniformed youth organisation and a unit in the Sea Cadet Corps. We meet on two evenings a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.45 to 9.15 pm. Both girls and boys join the unit and we cater for ages 10 - 18 years. There is opportunity for young people to learn new skills and be part of a safe, disciplined learning environment based on Royal Navy traditions.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC IN AGRICULTURE, HOME CRAFTS, COUNTRY LIFE AND RELATED SUBJECTS. IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE OF MEMBERS TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES.

We provide a venue for social, recreational and educational activities and for the physical well-being of all age groups regardless of sex, age or ethnicity both indoors and in an adjoining garden.

Offering 9 to 17 year olds life-changing nautical adventure based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. Opportunities include Rowing, Sailing, Power-boating, Kayaking, Adventurous Training, Seamanship,Cooking, Team-building and many more.

First Duffield Scout Group provides structured recreational/educational scouting based activities for children aged 5-14 in the Duffield area.

The aim of the Scout Council is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their communities. The method of achieving this aim is by providing an enjoyable scheme of progressive training, based on the scout law & promise and guided by adult leadership.

Working with a range of Community Centres and Organisations to provide a range of sporting and cultural activities for young people to participate in.

Provision of a facility for community activities, clubs and events for the Clehonger Parish and surrounding area.

The provision of recreational and leisure facilities at Cawley Hall, Eye.

Operation of Fownhope New Memorial Hall for benefit of local residents, clubs and other organisations.

We are a village hall, therefore we provide our community with a building to use for all kinds of clubs and activities.

The hall is used by a wide range of organisations, from our local community, from the brownies, WI, yoga classes, indoor bowls, ochestra rehersal, C of E use it for meetings, the J Wittness use it twice weekly for services. Its also held for wedding receptions, dinner parties and the like. Our local council use it for elections and meetings.

Girlguiding Cymru is the largest organisation for girls and young women in Wales. It offers an unique environment where they can grow and develop in a safe, girl only space. The programme of activities is relevant to today's girl and actively promotes equality and diversity. Guiding gives girls and young women a voice.

To foster and support a sense of community, organise events and provide a meeting place and activities for the people of Eastwell.

Provides recreational facilities for indoor and outdoor activities for young people of both sexes mainly between the ages of 10 and 18. We also offer help and councelling for young people as well as access to other agencies that support this age group.

Providing sporting opportunities for local people through our resident football teams Ingles FC and Broomleys FC. Developing male and female youth teams in conjunction with our resident teams. Maintaining and developing the football ground and social centre. Providing a indoor leisure and activity space for local residents. Providing Mums and Toddlers group and Playgroup for the Thringstone area.

Girlguiding North West England enables girls and young women to develop their potential through supporting and valuing its leaders. Our vision is to widen and increase our membership to enable all girls and young women to have the opportunity to develop their potential through guiding.

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. The core values are integrity, respect, care, belief and co-operation. Wigan District Scout Council provides resource and support services for the constituent Scout Groups.

Local community activities

Training to the standards required by the Marine Society and Sea cadets. This includes boatwork, seamanship, map reading and navigation skills and all crafts and sports relevant to naval cadets. On-water boat training, shore based camps and training voyages on offshore vessels. Much of the training gives National Governing Body qualifications as well as B Tech courses. Cadets are aged 10 to 18

Provide social and sporting activities for the local inhabitants of the area with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants

DUNKIRK & OLD LENTON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION exists for the benefit of inhabitants of the area, bringing together local people, other organisations & local authorities in common effort to improve the conditions of life and to provide facilities for recreation/leisure/training through the establishment and maintenance of a Community Centre offering a wide range of activities for all.

RYA Power & Sail, First Aid, Shooting, Canoing, Cook stewards, Comms, Writer/Stores, ET, plus many other activities.

Volunteers in Girlguiding Lincolnshire South work with young people from the age of 4. Together they work through times of adventure, fun activities and well being to develop into independent, caring, team working individuals ready to face what the world holds for them.

Scouting activities

Scouting - Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts

The provision of opportunities for children and young people to learn skills, interact with their peers and develop sound citizenship within the wider community, through the Scouting movement.

We provide a low cost venue for use by groups and individuals of all ages in the community. Examples include the Scouts, dancing, exercise, whist groups, horticulural society, theatre groups, the local school and many individuals for meetings and parties.

Provides and upkeeps a venue for members of the community to use for arts, sports, culture, leisure and other community events.

To provide a sports ground for the general benefit of the village and surrounding environs, to provide a Clubhouse for social communication between members, mutual helpfulness, mental and moral improvement and recreation and to supply refreshments to members.

Provision of hall for local activities and residents

Affiliated groups meet on a regular basis, including guides, brownies, rainbows. There are exercise classes, keep fit, pilates, ki aikido, cycling, also sequence dancing, children's dance classes, slimming classes, craft groups and autism group. Other classes include dog training, over 60's and a Church Group. Rooms are also rented out for socials, parties and meetings.
