Overview

CharityScore UK ("we", "us", "our") operates charityscore.co.uk. This page explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

CharityScore UK does not require visitors to create an account, sign up, or provide any personal information to use the site. You can search and browse all charity ratings completely anonymously.

Information we collect

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors use our site. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data such as:

  • • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • • General geographic location (country/region level)
  • • Device and browser type
  • • Site performance metrics (loading speed)

This data is anonymised and is not used to identify individual visitors. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes beyond what is required for basic site analytics.

Advertising

CharityScore UK may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data and manage your ad preferences at Google's Ads Policy page.

Charity data

All charity information displayed on CharityScore UK is sourced from the Charity Commission for England & Wales public register, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. This is public information already available through official government channels. We do not collect or store any additional personal data about charity trustees or staff beyond what is publicly disclosed in the official register.

Contact and email communications

If you contact us via email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your query and for record-keeping purposes. If we send informational emails to charities about their public rating, recipients can opt out at any time by replying with "unsubscribe", after which no further emails will be sent to that address.

Your rights

Since we collect minimal personal data, there is little to request access to or deletion of. If you have any concerns about data we may hold about you, or wish to exercise any rights under UK GDPR, contact us at charityscoreuk@gmail.com.
