The role of Hull CVS is to support the sustainable development of voluntary and communtiy groups and volunteering in Hull and its neighbourhood. We hold regular meetings on the third Saturday in the month with the exception of December.Some meetings have a business section followed by a talk or demonstration given by a visiting textile artist. In the early 60s the original wooden hut that was Nicholforest Village Hall burned down. Money was raised for the new hall from Whist drives, dances etc. In '64 a new hall was built. In '96 with the help of a lottery grant the hall was transformed. Regular groups and societies now meet at the hall. The hall holds regular events throughout the year and it also has a Resource Centre and Library.

Owns and maintains a village hall in Bosbury, Herefordshire, for the use of the local community for social, educational and recreational purposes.

The Village Hall serves the needs of the catchment area and is used regularly by the Parish Council, Church, Flicks in the Sticks, an annual live show sponsored by Arts Alive and a number of local groups. The licence for all the activities taking place in the Village Hall has been issued by Herefordshire Council.
