PlatinumTrailblazers trains volunteers as mentors to work with young offenders - with the aim to increase self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence and to achieve changes in attitude, thinking and behaviour - thus reducing the risk of re-offending. Mentors work for six months inside the prison with the mentee on a weekly basis and continue the relationship for a further six - nine months after release.
