Brighton SU has a membership of 22,000+ students, for whom it: - provides representation, advice and support - promotes their interests and welfare - acts as the representative channel between students and the University - provides social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and - provides forums for discussions and debate.

The charity provides for the benefit of the community in the Stockwell Park area, property management and maintenance services and associated amenities for persons in necessitous circumstances including the aged. Hamworthy PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent, Revd Tessa Nisbet, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The village hall is used for various activities including use by the school for PE purposes and as an after school recreational school club. We also have film nights.

Builth Wells Outdoor Bowling Club provides the local community with the facilities and equipment for the playing of lawn bowls. The main season is from mid April to mid September however social and other events are organised throughout the year including whist drives and bingo. Individuals need not join the club to play bowls with the option to pay and play available.
