Lighthouse offers a wide range of theatrical, cinematic, visual arts and musical events in order to appeal to a broad range of people. It provides facilities for amateur artists to develop their skills and presents workshops and theatrical productions to involve young people in the arts in order to encourage a culture in which different age ranges play a complementary part.

Harpenden Choral Society has about 75 members and performs four concerts a year in Harpenden, including a carol concert. The Society aims to perform an increasing range of choral music of all periods, both sacred and secular, to a high amateur standard with the help of professional soloists and instrumentalists. The Society promotes singing as a social activity and strives to attract new members.

The principal objectives of the Charity are to open Parham to the public and maintain the historic Elizabethan House, its contents and surrounding parkland, woodlands and farmland amounting to approx 900 acres. The Ipswich Orchestral Society performs three concerts per year for the public. We invite international soloists for two of these. Our third concert (family concert) we taylor to attract a younger audience - our aim is to introduce children to the pleasure of music making via a lighter programme.
