deaf awareness: NE runs a series of sessions and activities from the Linskill Centre, North Shields, to help raise awareness of issues impacting on deaf and hard of hearing people. These session include sign language, lipreading, tinnitus support, deaf awareness training and deaf sports. Hearing induction loops, speech to text and BSL/English interpreters are used as appropriate.

Holds meetings and publishes research in the Charles Lamb Bulletin. Makes available to the public (at Guildhall Library in the City of London and the Guildhall Art Gallery) a collection of books, manuscripts and other material related to Lamb and his circle.
