Our church stands in the centre of Bury and has 477 parishioners on the Electoral Roll, in addition we have approx. 100 - 150 children and young people. We are continually working to reach out to the people of Bury,sending a Christian message but also ministering to all who are in any kind of need from any or no faith. Our work is across all generations.

The BSPED promotes research and training by encouraging collaboration and open dialogue. The BSPED holds an Annual Conference which incorporates a Training Day and specialist nurses sessions. The committees of the BSPED work to create guidelines, audits and research to advance knowledge and good practice in our specialist area. Information is communicated with members through a monthly newsletter.

The principal activity during the year will continue to be religious activities, education and training, and help for children, young and the elderly. We will continue to advance the Christian faith worldwide, the relief of poverty and the provision of other humanitarian activities to improve the lives and welfare of our community.

The provision of regular public acts of worship open to members of the church and non members alike. The teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Manor Twiglets Nursery Ltd care for children from 2 years to 11 years old. We are open for 50 weeks of the year, therefore also providing Holiday Clubs outside of term time. During the sessions, the children are able to access all 7 areas of learning as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage. They have a great deal of fun playing inside as well as outside, getting messy and making friends.

Activities include training in the playing of brass instruments, both for young people and for adults who benefit from the continuing education this provides. The band also provides entertainment for the general public by giving concerts, including free kids' concerts and undertakes other public engagements, providing music for civic occasions and supporting fund-raising by other charities.

We carry out our aims in the village of Keld in Swaledale, North Yorkshire. Our aims are realised by renting buildings in Keld owned by the URC and the Methodist Church.
