We promote 5 concerts a year where professional musicians play classical music to paying audiences. The average age of our members and others who attend from time to time is 70 plus. Many suffer from mobility problems and would not be able to go to London to enjoy the kind of music and social ambience we provide. 0ur aim is to attract people of all ages and entrance is free to the under 18s.

Religious Services to the Greek Orthodox Community

To provide secure, supervised nursery facilities for pre-school children over the age of 1.5yrs to the age of 5 yrs, at an affordable price. We operate 5 mornings and 4 afternoons a week for a total of 31 hours and take up to 30 children per session. A limited number of places are reserved for children whose circumstances render them in need of a place, should the situation arise.

General fundraising for local non-profit organisations and people in need

We fundraise to enhance the children's educational, recreational and social opportunities; providing equipment (ie:sensory room and sensory gym) day trips, Christmas, birthday and leaving gifts. Provide and assist the access of items for the education of school (not provided from statutory funds) in consultation with the GB.Friends of Broadmeadow promote the work of this special school

The centre is a meeting place where children of separated families can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents, and sometimes other family members in a comfortable and safe environment.

We hold Summer and Christmas fairs, discos, cake, book and ice lolly and jumble sales. We hold non school uniform days, to raise money for the school. In addition we hold Easter teas, Mothers day tea, quiz nights, bingo and treasure hunts. Also sponsored events and many other ways to raise money for the children of our school.

We operate weekly groups for archery.Sailing takes place during the summer and we now have skiff rowing in the winter. We hold regular work parties for the sailing section during the winter when we prepare the fleet for the following season. Hall is used regularly by Headway charity, local groups (inc Gardening, Badminton, Short Mat Bowls, Japanese Embroidery, National Trust, Music Practice, Thai Chi,) Wookey Parish Council and monthly Church breakfast.Single bookings include parties, wedding & christening receptions and funeral wakes, charity functions and the annual village fete.
