The Woodlands Village Hall provides a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Marchington Woodlands and the adjascent villages and hamlets. The hall is available for public and private events. Oulton Village Hall exists as an amenity for anybody who wishes to use it. The aim of the Shropshire County Scout Council is to further the work of the Scout Association in Shropshire by encouraging the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities.

The Guide Association, as part of a worldwide Movement, enables girls and young women to fufil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society through its distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteers. This charity owns and provides a Brownie and Guide Holiday House and a Brownie and Guide Campsite for use by all members.

SCOUTING ACTIVITIES TO CHILDREN OF TUNSTALL AND GOLDENHILL AREAS IN STOKE-ON-TRENT

During this year we lost all of our beaver leaders due to work commitment and had to close the section for a short time. By September 2025 we had recruited more leaders and the section was reopened. The beavers, cubs and scout are now all doing well. They are all working hard to gain badges and awards. They have been camping and enjoying joint activities to improve their inter personal skills.
