The club exists to enable disabled people to benefit from swimming therapy; amongst our disabled members we number those who have suffered strokes, heart operations, back injuries, amputations, multiple sclerosis, visual handicaps and arthritis, as well as to endeavour to provide assistance to disabled persons to gain access to swimming facilities.

To benefit stroke survivors and their carers in the Walton-on-Thames and Hersham area.

Providing accommodation for all local groups, clubs, families and societies to enjoy all the normal facilities of a community centre for as low a price as possible (lowest in the area). Facilities include;- dancing, dance tuition (incl ballet), meeting rooms, sports and recreation, parties and celebrations, garden clubs & societies, stroke club, slimming classes, toddlers groups.

The principal activity is to support those who have suffered a stroke and also for the carers of such persons The support is delivered through 'a Club' which meets weekly with the sessions offering therapeutic exercises,neurophhysio exercises, games and social interaction along with outings,luncheon gatherings etc.

The charity has been established to meet the need for rehabilitation and support for stroke survivors and their carers in Wiltshire. We offer a 1:1 visiting service and peer support groups for younger stroke survivors.

Upbeat is an independent charity set up by ex-cardiac patients. We provide support for people who have had heart attacks, or other heart related problems, and their carers. A range of specialist exercise sessions are held weekly under the supervision of qualified cardiac instructors and a cardiac nurse. Social and educational events are also provided.

The charity runs a farm in the heart of Dartmoor to which it organises visits, historically disadvantaged children from London, but increasingly youth from Devon and the South West to experience life and work on a farm.
