The Group was formed to provide an essential part of the rehabilitation process after a heart attack or heart surgery. This is done through regular Monthly Meetings, exercise classes, walking group, art group and swimming sessions. Members are kept in touch through a quarterly Newsletter.

The charity seeks to advance education by commissioning, conducting and publicly disseminating research in the field of cardiac medicine and the treatment of people suffering from cardiac complaints.

The continuing aim is to educate people in matters of local history through the use and involvement of oral history, archives, documents and exhibitions at the heart of the community. One of the ultimate objectives is to establish a permanent and fitting commemoration in the Lake District of the link between the child Holocaust Survivors and the local area that welcomed them in 1945.

The object of the CIO is to advance the life and relief of young people with heart conditions: (a) The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare; (b) Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities. (c) The provision of equipment & facilities for patients & families of patients with heart conditions.

We help those impacted by Stroke with information, guidance, support and above all else hope, we care because we have been there ourselves.

Oak Tree Animals' Charity is at the heart of the community. Helping hundreds of animals each year, we find loving new homes for cats, dogs and horses, promote responsible pet ownership through education and outreach activities and work with individuals who need our support.

We advance health and save lives targeting people with stroke and diabetes particularly poorer sectors of the community in the Sudan. We provide services, advocacy, advice, information, and raising awareness in the Sudan and throughout England and Wales. We train professional staff in the Sudan to set up the first stroke unit there. This will equip them with the skills needed to achieve our aims.

The Charity consists of a portfolio of stock exchange investments and cash which produces an income. This income is used to make donations to other registered charities to be used for general charitable purposes, with an emphasis on supporting charities active in certain medical areas as specified in the governing document (namely cancer, heart trouble, neurological diseases, and arthritis).

ACP is based in the heart of Sparkbrook and was established by local residents in 1996 as a community resource offering inclusive services to all local people. We aim to improve the quality of life for people in Sparkbrook by creating opportunities for improvements to their social, physical, and economic well being, and supporting them to meet their needs and aspirations.

Our charity looks after stroke patients and their carers. When people come out of hospital after stroke once their needs have been assessed by social services and provided with all necessary equipment they are left entirely on their own. This means that because of their disabilities they are mainly confined to their home. We endeavour to bring them back socially into the real world.

Heart to Help supports Social welfare projects in India through a local partner such as Children's homes, Street Children feeding programmes, widows and women's destitute homes, Old People's Retirement home. Educational Schools for children particularly deprived children.

Our group aim is to encourage both physical & mental stimulation of stroke survivor members, through light exercise & social interaction, where members can grow in confidence and improve their quality of life and that of the family members.

The Mayor of Eastleigh's raises money for different beneficiaries each year. The Mayor for 2025/2026 is Cllr Janice Asman and her chosen charities are Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Chandler's Ford Stroke Group and Eastleigh Carers Project. The Mayor's Appeal for 2024/2025 raised £5600 for Centrestage Productions Youth Theatre and Eastleigh Operatic & Musical Society.

Under licence from Beads of Courage Inc., Beads of Courage UK offers emotional support to children with chronic and serious illness by providing Beads of Courage programmes to Oncology/Haematology, Burns, Cardiac, NICU, and Chronic Conditions units throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Beads of Courage restores a child's sense of self when coping with a serious illness.

Providing Hope and Support to those affected by Congenital Heart Defects, & Heart Transplantation throughout the United Kingdom

Set up in memory of Georgia Louise Murray an amazing young woman who cared deeply for others, who we sadly lost in November 2010 to complications in her 3rd open heart operation. Focussing on Water, Healthcare, Education and Nutrition projects for underprivileged children both at home and around the world working with like minded organisations in Manchester, Salford, Cambodia and Romania.

Current activities:-Participatory dance and music and dance performance projects at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.Includes working creatively with infants, children and young people on hospital wards with acute conditions. (Cardiac, neurological, renal).

The foundation fund raises and helps charities within the UK as agreed by the trustees and in line with our founding principle of supporting charitable organisations that were either close to Fiona' s heart or from which she benefitted in her lifetime . For example we provide grants by way of scholarships to female undergraduates in chemical engineering at Newcastle University.

We provide projects in music & arts aimed at 4 key groups, children, retired people, the disabled & those in social & economic deprivation.We run choirs for ages 4-80, & singing groups for adults with mental & physical disabilities, stroke survivors, those with dementia & Age UK. We run arts days with a variety of activities & inter-generational projects that connect the young with the elderly.

Thaqwa is a multi-purpose English speaking institution which is located at the heart of the diverse communities of Birmingham and serves people of every walk of life. In addition to our community services, there are 313 students (adults/children and male and female) who are being taught by a staff of 19 dedicated people.

The relief of poverty of the people who are homeless and rough sleepers in London and surrounding areas by the provision of food, clothes and other items and services. We also aim to provide vocational training and upskilling and skills acquisition programs.
