ORU PAANAI FUNDS 391 SCHOOLS IN NORTH SRI LANKA TO PROVIDE A MID DAY MEAL FOR OVER 43,000 CHILDREN. THE SCHOOL PREPARES A MEAL OF RICE AND VEGETABLES FOR ITS STUDENTS. THE RICE AND LENTILS ARE PROVIDED BY THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME. THE HELP WE GIVE ENABLES THE SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE A WHOLESOME AND PALATABLE RICE MEAL TO THE CHILDREN WHO LARGELY COME FROM HOMES LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LINE.

The funds are used to help the school provide resources for educational and recreational use, helping to fund school clubs, subsidising school trips and events for the benefit of the children, assisting parents with the purchase of school uniform and donations to charities after fund raising events.

Provision of before & after school child care and holiday club, for children of primary school age

2019 is the 50th Anniversary year of Harrogate Male Voice Choir.We give some 10-12 concerts during the year to raise funds for national and local charities such as the Royal British Legion, the Marie Curie Charity and the Clock Charity at Thirsk. This has also included combining with choirs from all parts of the UK performing at the Royal Albert Hall to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

To offer an alternative arts education to orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya's most deprived city slums. UNIVIDA's activities take place in one of the 550 slum communities of Fortaleza, in the north east of Brazil. On a daily basis the charity provides an extra 4 hours of education, a hot meal and a safe environment for 370 children to play and learn.
