The Trust buys and rents land, and manages it in a traditional, wildlife friendly manner. Our conservation volunteers help in this respect on a weekly basis. Orchards, flood meadows and woodland are our main focus, but any land which has a landscape or heritage feature is considered. ManKind Initiative is a national charity providing an information, support and signposting service to male victims of domestic abuse and their families. The helpline is manned by trained people who give information and support on all aspects of domestic abuse. We signpost people to refuges, local authorities and other services where appropriate. We deliver CPD accredited training and learning.

SNM serves and uplifts all people in the spirit of the Sikh principle of 'seva' (self-less service) and 'sarbat da bhalla' (for the benefit of all). We run the Northside Welcome Centre, in Erdington providing Information, Advice and Guidance, Counselling, IT classes, Job Club, one-to-one support for the unemployed or people in need, literacy & numeracy classes, yoga and Sikh religious programmes.

Activities to individuals and groups within the community

To encourage and promote amateur theatre in the local community and provide facilities for use by local youth and adult companies.

We offer care services, information, wellbeing and active ageing opportunities for people aged 50 plus. We also support other groups working with older people, and we offer training for professionals. We raise issues of concern for older people, work with local media, contribute to campaigns and sit on advisory groups and statutory agency advisory bodies.

To provide support for the relief of the mental and physical distress of people who have experienced sexual abuse and to provide the advancement of education of the public in the nature of sexual abuse and its effect on those who have been subject to it. These services are mainly provided through therapeutic counselling,training and advocacy and collaborative work with relevant other agencies.

Music at Beaulieu arranges some 12 to 14 concerts each year, providing excellent inexpensive music from classical to jazz and offering a platform for young as well as established world-class musicians.Music at Beaulieu also offers competitive awards to assist musicians in the New Forest in their musical careers.
