Crossroads Care Staffordshire Limited's main aim is to support Carers in their caring role.-This is achieved through the provision of a respite service, usually within the carer's own home, provided by trained Care Support Workers.

GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES

The objectives of the charity are to provide education in Western and Indian classical music, dance, drama and fine arts in India, Britain and other parts of the world. The Trust raises funds to assist its sister trust, The Mathieson Music School in Kolkata, India. It provides teaching for children who are selected either because they are orphans or from the poorest of the poor.

Weekly section meetings, camping, hiking, all helping to develop the spiritual, physical and mental well being of the young person.

Organising social events for the families and staff associated with the school for the purpose of enhancing the school community and also fundraising for items that enhance the school offering. This includes a number of annual events and also some one-off events, such as quiz nights, cake sales, and smaller social events. The main events are:Annual Fireworks Event Annual Summer Festival

Cherry Tree Pre- School offers pre-school education to children aged between 2 and 5 years.

Social work

Helping young people get the most out of life. There are 3 sections which are run by leaders meeting on various week day evenings. Beavers age group 6-8, Cub scouts age group 8-10 and Scouts 10 to 14. There are indoor and outdoor activities, competitions and so on at District and County levels. Camping is mainly for the cubs and scouts with the beaver cub scouts visiting on for a day.

The objects of the charity are summarised as being for or to such charitable objects, purposes, institutions, or societies as the Trustees in their discretion think fit with no defined beneficial area.

Provision of education and learning through play to under fives in the local area

We are a choir singing mainly classical works in concerts twice or three times a year. We also perform in charity concerts, weddings, funerals and other events. Our membership is open to anyone over 16 years with an interest in singing.

To train and educate all members of our community Surf Life Savinf skills and support our RNLI Lifeguards with voluntary patrols and future lifeguards.

Our main aim is to provide a safe and happy environment for pre-school children, where they can learn to mix with other children and develop communication skills. We offer a chance to try new and varied activities five mornings and four afternoons a week during term time.

Heart of England Singers is a mixed choir, ages range from 16 to late 80s. We give several concerts a year plus performing for charities and church groups on request.

The principal acitivity of the charity is to advance the social education of young people who are deemed to be at risk either from physical, mental or sexual abuse, drug or other substance abuse, criminal activity, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, or illiterarcy; to help them improve their condition and thereby become useful members of society.

Provides opportunities for local people to listen to live classical music performed by professional musicians. Mainly by arranging six concerts a year in Witney.

Youth Access is the national membership organisation for young people's information, advice, counselling and support services.

THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.

WE GO TO MARKET PLACES TO DISTRIBUTE GOSPEL TRACTS AND PREACH TO PEOPLE AND HAVE LAST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH PRAYER GATHERING. WE GIVE PASTOR ADEAGBO'S BOOK TITLED CHRIST WHO IS ABOVE ALL TO SOME WHO CARE TO HAVE IT. OUR SUNDAY SERVICE IS CONSTANT.

Our mission is to use theatre combined with information, advice and guidance to inspire and support those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We act as a catalyst for people to make changes in their lives. We also aim to improve public understanding and awareness by creating and performing works about the experiences of homeless and socially excluded people, with those people.

The charity, founded and run with Christian ethos, provides essential funding and operational guidance to partner charities who provide caring homes, medical treatment and education to disadvantaged children. The children are from the streets, very poor families, are orphans, from families who have leprosy and parents who have incurable diseases. Children in families also receive similar help.

To promote true and balanced non-sectarian teachings of Islam to eradicate extremism and violence. To promote inclusive and cohesive society where ignorance is replaced by understanding and mutual respect. This is primarily achieved by organising lectures, conferences, production and distribution of high quality scholarly publications. UKs first permanent Islamic exhibition inaugurated in Oct '03.

Education of pre school children

DRAX PLAYGROUP HAS BRANCHED OUT AND HAS NOW OPENED A PRESCHOOL IN THORNE TRADING AS THORNE FLOWERPOTS WITH THE MOTTO WATCH US GROW. WE STILL RUN UNDER DRAX PLAYGROUP UNDER THE SAME VOLUNTARY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. WE AIM TO PROVIDE GOOD QUALITY EARLY YEARS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AGED 2-5 YRS.

Parent Teacher Association Fund Raising Activities for the benefit of the school

Promotion of the holy rosary as a means to bring peace and personal comfort to suffering people. Correspondence maintained supporting prisoners, the sick, the fearful. Shipments of donated aid and church items to assist diocesan schools and hospitals in the third world. Support of local homeless has increased to help with increased numbers.

Performance and commissioning of choral music.

Provision of facilities for other Christian organisations and/or churches to hold meetings, events, away-days etc. To provide an environment of peace and quiet for people to come on retreat or on day courses or business meetings, etc.

OUR AIM IS TO RAISE FUNDS BY WAY OF SCHOOL FETES AND ACTIVITIES. MONEY RAISED IS SPENT BACK ON IMPROVING THE SCHOOL BOTH INSIDE AND OUT AND ON ITEMS NEEDED THAT ARE NOT ABLE TO BE BOUGHT THROUGH BUDGETS.

We are an assembly of God church and as such our main occupation is worship, prayer, Bible study & propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also have a great concern for children in the third world and operate a charity shop called Annie's Orphans to support orphanages in Burma and Romania, a farm in Zimbabwe caring for Aids orphans & street children in Nairobi & a school in Gautemala

Bramley Elderly Action (BEA) provides a broad range of preventative health activities for local elders with the help of over 140 volunteers - many of whom are local older people. Older Wiser Local Seniors (OWLS) is part of BEA, providing activities for elders living in the adjacent Headingley, Burley, Hyde Park and Kirkstall area. OWLS is helped by almost 40 volunteers.

The UCKG HelpCentre is established to advance the Christain faith by words and deeds. Our full-time HelpCentres are open 7 days a week, offering free services which include: one to one spiritual advice sessions; 24 hour helpline; life coaching and relationship guidance; personal attention to crisis in homes, hospitals or prisons and a skills & learning Training Centre.
