Financial support of selected charitable ministries

Advance the education of pupils by developing effective relationships between staff, parents & others associated with the school and providing facilities and equipment which support the school.

We undertake various social activities to raise funds. These funds are then donated to St. Mellanus Church as they are needed for the maintenance and restoration of the church building.

Pre-School

To seek the advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with the teachings of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and to educate people in the Word of God. To teach the knowledge of Jesus Christ all over Watford and beyond.

Community Choir

To provide a village community centre for the village of Scotter and the smaller surrounding villages where all sorts of recreational groups and activities can take place also education and training activities for all age groups. To provide a setting also for other functions like private celebrations and meetings as required.

Family support

Grants are made to alleviate distress of all past members of the London Irish Rifles and their immediate dependants, and of all serving members of the London Irish Rifles in The London Regiment, Army Reserve. Support is given to the Regiment's Pipes and Drums Band in the execution of their duties to parade for funerals and other acts of remembrance.

The trustees make distributions in January and July, but do respond to particular appeals at other times. Half of available funds are distributed to eight favourite charities of the settlor, and the remaining monies are distributed at the trustees discretion.

Education

Management of Community Centre premises for the benefit of residents in the Bearwood district so that a range of activities can be provided. The activities include sports, social and educational work. Sessions for older and young people take place including retirement groups, teenage youth activities and pre-school groups.The charity maintains close links with the local authority.

Provide and support to children, poor and widow and work for the eradication of poverty through international assisted programmes. The organisation also support on relief of poverty, sickness and distress by providing medical services.

The range and focus of our work includes providing advocacy and crisis interpenetration surrounding domestic violence, including emotional and practical support, interpreting and translation, recreational activities, careers advice, drug abuse awareness, escorting, and transport, while promoting, and befriending networks.

Fundraising, participation in school and charitable activities, talks to new parents, social evenings with staff, parents and children and grants to the school for new equipment and facilities.

Gurdwara Baba Sang is aiming to address the Spiritual, Moral and Social needs of the community. The charity's objectives are to advance the Sikh religion in the area in accordance with the teaching and tenets of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji including the celebration of Sikh religious festivals, conduct and the advancement of education in the Sikh religion for the benefit of the local Sikh Community.

Play Group 5 days a week ages 2-5, Judo, Job Club, Computer Courses, Line Dancing. Briar Community Association operates from the Betty Strathern Centre Myrtle Road Harold Hill but also covers the whole of the Harold Hill Estate.

Religious Activities

The Association offers activities and social events for fostering families and the children in their care. We assist with monthly support groups, providing new carers with buddies, who offer advice and support when needed, and organise annual events for our fostering families which include fun days, BBQs, discos, day trips, a Halloween party, and a Christmas grotto.

Male voice choir

The charity was set up to provide a community building for the community. To provide education and leisure activities and opportunities in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

To promote general and religious education to the area of Jogonnathpur in the district of Sunamganj, Bangladesh.To provide financial assistance to the poor students such as books, study kits, tuition fees andsocial welfare i.e ramadan meal.

During 2011/2012 we operated mainly in the Stoke on Trent Area, providing facilities for Muslims to come and Worship their Lord 'Allaah'. We continued to provide free audio CDs (in different Languages: Urdu, English, Arabic & Kurdish) to Muslims and Non-Muslims, explaining our Religion of Islam and clarifying any misunderstanding.
