The objectives of the RI are for the advancement of the aesthetic education of the public by the promotion of the fine arts and in particular the art of painting in watercolours. Mixed choir of around 80 voices. Normally three or four concerts each year in St Ives including a family Christmas concert. A new work by Tom Randle based on the life of Cromwell was commissioned and performed with students of St Ivo School in March 2023.
