Since 1982, the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust has been the leading voluntary organisation promoting wildlife conservation in Montgomeryshire.The Trust currently manages and cares for 19 Nature Reserves within the county, totalling some 500ha in area. These reserves are a showcase of some of Montgomeryshire's finest remnants of prime wildlife habitat.

Rescue and rehome abandoned, unwanted and homeless cats & kittens.

To encourage young people to ride and to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding. To give instruction in riding and in all matters relating to ponies and riding and to provide education in looking after and taking proper care of animals. To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline.

The Farm provides volunteering opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged people and an informal educational environment for children, young people and their families, with an emphasis on healthy living and caring for the environment, we also hold community activities such as evening bat walks. The Farm offers year round open access to the meadows, woodland, wildlife pond and farmyard.

Educate the public regarding responsible pet ownership both directly eg by posting animal care leaflets on our websites for free download and holding events that are open to anyone with an interest in pet care, and indirectly eg by running education and training courses for pet specialists who meet the public daily.

To prevent cruelty to animals by the promotion of humane farming, transportation, slaughter, and marketing of farm animals, in particular but without prejudice to generality of the foregoing, by implementing a set of rearing and handling standards approved and amended from time to time by the The Royal Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals ("The RSPCA").

GSD 2000 rescues unwanted, abandoned or badly-treated GSDs and re-homes them in suitable private homes. All animals are neutered. Saving lives in wild and remote places. We provide a 365 days a year, 24/7 search and mountain rescue service to walkers and climbers in the Dark Peak, as well as assisting the police with lowland search and rescue of vulnerable persons.

We rescue, treat, vaccinate and sterilise street dogs and cats and provide treatment and care to all other ill and injured street and wild animals. At our animal shelter in a rural and poor area of Rajasthan, India, we employ a large number of local Indian staff. We educate children and adults in all aspects of Animal Welfare. We provide free veterinary services to livestock animals.

We support young people who struggle in the mainstream classroom environment or for young people who have left education without the prospect of further education or employment. We enable them to experience the satisfaction and therapeutic benefit of growing food and caring for animals.
