In the humble beginning, the Sunderland congregation had its first Indian Orthodox spiritual gathering at the Sunderland Royal Hospital Chapel on July 8 2004. As a sign of the readiness to share the Christian fraternity, the Sunderland Catholic community and the vicar permitted us to use the chapel for our spiritual needs and worship.
