To maintain the playing field, which is central to the parish of Thurlaston, for all members of the parish to enjoy.It is used extensively by parishioners for a number of activities including:children's play, meeting place for people, informal football & basketball, dog walking.It is also the location for the annual carnival.

The object of the Charity is to advance the education of pupils of Burton on the Wolds Primary School.

Worldwide Silver Lining exists to support the development of schools worldwide, with an emphasis upon Africa. The charity supports the work of other charitable organisations working in African countries. The charity currently makes grants to a charity school in Kenya and a Masai education and health project in Tanzania

FitKidz aims to improve the lifestyles of children in its care, by educating them in their physical well being. The I-LEAP Foundation (Integrated Learning Enhancement Acupressure Programme) promotes the advancement of health and education through the correction of learning difficulties including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and ADHD. It is a non-invasive, individualised programme to give an individual full access to their potential abilities and can be used to correct certain dysfunctions.

Our mission is to engage with the worst effects of extreme poverty in a remote village by introducing and integrating a series of self-sustaining programmes in education, water / sanitation and permaculture, and by providing the tools for future sustainability, so encouraging and strengthening community life.
