Upper Wharfedale Swimming Club is based at Upper Wharfedale Secondary School in Threshfield near Skipton, North Yorkshrie. We provide swimming sessions for our members and swimming lessons for the junior members. We try to keep our subscription fee to a minimum to allow access for everyone within the area. Our swimming instructors and everyone who helps with the club are volunteers.

The Barneswood Charitable Trust, a registered charity established in 2005, provides grants primarily to children and teenagers in the UK suffering from serious illness or severe disability. The trust fulfil this objective primarily by working with other charities to identify specific children who would benefit from a grant.

We provide nursery school education for orphans and children from very poor families. We also provide them with at least one meal a day as most of them come to the school very hungry. At any given time we have between 16-20 children but we have a capacity for 50. We are currently unable to take on more due to lack of funds.
