BHUARC runs a drop-in Centre for the unemployed/unwaged and low waged in Hollingdean, a housing estate in Brighton. We provide welfare and benefits advice, legal and employment rights advice as well as cheap computer access and a free clothes exchange. We are a TUC recognised unemployed centre.

Raising money for resources for the school

Teaching English language to none English speaking ethnic minorities. Teaching young youths (16-19 year olds) to prevent sexually transmitted diseases like; HIV/Aids & Chlamydia prevention. If funding is available we will start a pilot scheme in London 2010-2011.

The charity organises fund raising events, usually held on the school's premises. For example, school discos, an annual fayre, and fashion shows.

We are an independant local branch of the Radio Amateurs Emergency Network (RAYNET) who specialise in providing the community with communication facilities in times of emergency, and Public Safety at community events. We provide specialist communications links for community events attracting crowds from a few hundred to several thousands, and assist other Raynet groups nationally.

We look after the playing field in the village of Byfield, which in addition to being a general amenity for the public also supports a range of clubs and associated activities.

This charity has been inactive for a long time now, we are a new group with the president trying to reactivate the charity and enhance our charitable activities further. We are looking forward to refresh this charity works in line with our works carried out at the moment.
