In 2007 LCA ran some activities such as discos, hobby club & games clubs for children aged 5-11 years from the local community. Unfortunately the LCA has now stopped running these activities and the organisation needs closing down.

Raises money in aid of cancer relief and research. Founded in 1991 it has has raised over 500k to various charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust, London hospices, Schneider Children's Medical Center and others. Noah's Ark has no administration costs and donates 100% of money raised.

We run six units, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, from our Scout Hut in Mitcham. The children attend weekly meetings where they work towards badges which help to make them aware of their environment and to care for others. Camping and fund-raising are among the many activities in which the children are involved.

Our library, The Blessing Library is under construction in Buguma. Expected to be completed and opened to the public in 2010. Our activities is the provision of high quality books to primary schools in the area, also secondary schools and other higher institutions. A children's section will be opened when the library is opened to the general public for free use.The library is now open.

The advancement of education among children and young people attending Mottram St Andrew Primary Academy by the providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by government funding).

Parent and toddler group for children aged 0 months to school age and their carers. Special baby area provided as well as activities for older children. Snacks and tea and coffee provided mid morning and included in entrance fee.Activities are wide ranging and include cutting, painting, colouring, puzzles, ball pool, home corner, dressing up, bikes, reading corner and many more.

We run a Parent and Toddler Group in our local village. This takes place on a Monday between 9:30am - 11:30am to support local parents / carers / childminders and grandparents of children of pre-school age (0-4). Accompanying adults are required to stay with their child(ren); the organisers / volunteers do not hold supervisory responsibility.
