To provide help and information to deaf children and their families

The Orchard Trust makes grants to other charities. Beneficiaries have been churches local to Henley on Thames, international aid charities and children's or disability charities in the UK. Our Objects are wider, however. We have never responded to unsolicited requests.

We provide dietary/nutritional advice by an experienced Nutritionist to children who suffer learning difficulties on the autism spectrum. This advice is individually tailored to the child and their family. The charity pays for non-invasive testing for families with limited means who see the Nutritionist. The charity is run on a voluntary basis, all funds being used for treatment/investigation.

Marlins is a well-established club providing swimming and other activities for people with special needs in the Bedford area. Swimming sessions take place on Sunday evenings and are supported by an experienced team of volunteers. Additionally various other social activities take place throughout the year. We provide cricket within Abingdon and the surrounding area for youth players (both boys and girls) for 5 to 18 year olds. Going forward, we are looking to offer some cricket for local disabled young people

The charity makes small grants to individuals resident in Drayton to assist in cases of need. For example grants have been made to enable adaptations required by a disabled person, and to enable purchase of equipment needed by an unwaged student with dependents in order to pursue their studies. Applications are considered by the trustees at quarterly meetings.
