Scouting has been in existence for over 100 years and St Michaels was the first Scout Group within the Stourport area. The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people (aged 4 to 25) in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The Old School Hall Management Committee manages a community centre comprising a large hall, large meeting room, kitchen, entrance lobby and toilets. In 2009 an annex incorporating infants toilets was added. The premises are available for hire to any not for profit community group. When not required by not for profit groups the facilities may be hired by commercial organisations and individuals.

We keep the village hall in good order for use by the local community. As the only facility in the area it is vital to everyone in the community who wishes to use it.

Enables girls & young women to fulfill their potential to take an active & responsible role in society through its distinctive stimulating & enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders.The aim is to help girls and young women develop emotionally, mentally, physically & spiritually so they can make a positive contribution to their community & the wider world.

Charity provides help and support for those with Multiple Sclerosis. Providing High Dosage Oxygen Therapy, Physiotherapy and Reflexology. The Centre also has a snack bar.

The charity works in the Belle Isle area of Leeds and supports older people to remain living at home. We offer activities in the following areas of need: Social Contact; Health Promotion; Safety & Security; Winter Warmth and help around the House and Home.

Reducing social exclusion by operating community projects to reduce unemployment through training. Alleviate hardship and provide support to young homeless and in need.

Bretford Village Hall is rented out to various individuals, clubs and charities for leisure and social activities.

The World Parrot Trust conducts and funds conservation projects for rare species of parrot around the world; encourages high standards in pet parrot care; campaigns to halt the trade in wild-caught parrots and informs and educates via our quarterly magazine 'PsittaScene' our monthly eNewsletter 'Flock Talk' and website www.parrots.org.

The workers of the charity run collective worship meetings, RE lessons, Bible Clubs and discussion groups in a number of primary and secondary schools in the Borough of Kingston upon Thames with the object of furthering the Christian faith amongst young people.

Educational talks, demonstrating the large collection of mechanical music items ie music boxes, polyphons, street pianos, fair organs & the wurlitzer theatre organ - to name a few, to educate all ages of the general public. preservation and restoration of mechanical music instruments. The aim of the scout association is to promote the physical, moral, intellectual and spiritual development of young people. The method whereby we seek to achieve this aim is by training scheme (the Balanced Training Programme) which is both enjoyable and challenging. All scouting activities are underpinned by the Scout Promise and Law.

Providing support, care and friendship for the elderly and young persons through the provision of day facilities. These offer companionship for the socially isolated, craft clubs for people with disabilities, a befriending scheme, a free mobility aid loan scheme, access to wheelchair friendly woodland walks, bird hides and an outdoor classroom facility for youth organisations and school groups.
