The provision of recreational facilities for the village of Kirkby in Furness.The Community Centre is located on a 5 acre site, providing pitches for cricket, football, bowling and a Multi Use Games Area with tennis courts, netball courts, a basketball court and a five a side football pitch. The site also provides a childrens playground, public toilets and an informal recreational space.

Friends of Robert Sandilands (FORS) was formed in March 2003. We provide financial and practical help for the school, arrange social events and plan opportunities for the children to try new things.

We are currently supporting the work of Way of Hope in Hungary. The aim of the work is to instruct children in Hungary morally, spiritually and socially by introducing them to the Christian faith. We are a local committee run pre school in Dorset and operate from a detached unit in the grounds of a local primary school. We currently provide care for 39 children aged 2 years 3 months - 4 years old. We help prepare them for reception/primary school and follow the EYFS guidelines to achieve this. To run smoothly we rely on Government funding, fees from parents and fundraising for resources.

Scouting activities for all children from 4yrs-15yrs old.

We are a committee run playgroup, we provide Childcare for 2 - 4 year olds , term time only .We offer a warm, caring & educational environment for the children play , grow and learn , we serve our local community .The Playgroup operates in a portacabin building on a secondary school site .

Meeting room for village activities, i.e. Play Group, Mother & Toddler Group, Youth Club, Keep Fit, Childrens Parties, Parish Council meetings, polling station, village events, general meetings, slide shows, etc.

Meadow Vale PTA is a Parent and Teacher Association with the aim of raising money for the benefit of children at Meadow Vale Primary School. Fundraising activities include our annual summer and Christmas Fairs, discos etc. Monies raised directly benefit the school and its children such as funding new playground equipment, the AstroTurf, the annual school pantomime and smaller items.
