Ide Memorial Hall is the village hall for Ide. It provides facilities for community activities such as meetings, fitness and dance, drama, choir, art group and similar. The Hall is also available for private hire for children's parties and receptions and the like. All age groups are catered for. The Hall has recently undergone an extensive renovation with modernised toilets and kitchen.

We are a Scout Group providing Scouting activities for children from 6 years of age upwards.

Young people between the core ages of 6 to 14 meet in their sections weekly where they enjoy learning through a variety of methods, including games, practical experiences and visits. 1st Norley Scouts provides a range of challenging activities enabling young people to develop new skills and abilities. These include traditional Scout pioneering and map and compass skills, water activities, nights/weekends away and creative activities to allow young people to express themselves in different ways. All this is done in a safe, encouraging and supportive environment.

This year we have supported the residents of Ashfield with donations to food banks and community groups, assisted a number of young people and mature students in the furtherance of their education, and helped towards the well-being of young people with donations to local uniformed groups. We also support the churches and mission of the Congregational Federation.
