The Centre is a small Charity providing a home and care primarily for horses with special needs. This criteria is controlled by the facts concerning the animal in question, its location and circumstances. No animal though can be accommodated unless there is sufficient room or care facilities for that animal at the Centre. The Centre cares for other animals in need if the circumstances permit.

The principal activity of the charity is develop a community wood with benches on the Tweed path remembering the members of the community of Horncliffe who served in WWII. The Geoffrey and Pauline Martin Trust's objects are to apply funds held to promote charitable purposes in any part of the world. Specifically, the Charitable Trusts focus will be supporting charities in the following areas: medical conditions including cancer, arthritis, asthma, kidney diseases and those attributable to ageing. Ariael visits small to medium animal rescues currently in the south-east of England to assess where Ariael might be able to benefit the animals directly in their reception, housing, care and treatment.Ariael also visits and studies relatively small islands off the west coast of Scotland to promote the protection and improvement of the natural environment including through the provision of grants

We are an independent charity run by a bunch of dedicated volunteers and Greyhound owners. HGRC is self-funded and relies on the generosity of supporters who love Greyhounds.
