The Learning Disability Resource Centre provides a range of services and resources for families of people with learning disabilities and professionals working with people with learning disabilities.

St Albans District Shopmobility is a charity scheme which provides scooters and wheelchairsto help people with limited mobility.

We have continued to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged, sick, disabled children and other charities in this field. We also operate mini buses which are available to organisations who need transport for disadvantaged children. We have also held fund raising events in the area.

We provide respite to Parents/Carers through Activity Days and Activity Breaks for disabled people from 0 upwards, and their siblings.

Our main ongoing activity is our Bus Project to help people living on Hallgarth Estate, who are unable to access public transport due to disability or vulnerability, with a weekly shopping service. 1Voice Community is a voluntary Charity run by parent carers for parent carers of disabled children who live in Brent.Our main purpose is to relieve the needs of families and carers by offering practical advice, support. We organise training and consultation events. We do this by running regular parent groups, events, trips, attendance at relevant conferences and by running free training.

Our objectives are to promote social inclusion among disabled and older people, their families and those who use social care services who are socially excluded on the grounds of their social and economic position by:1) Providing workshops, training and forums and practical support,2) Raising public awareness of these issues.
