To promote and protect the physical and mental health of people suffering from ill-health or disability in theUnited Kingdom.

For over fifty years our charity Solihull Lions (CIO) has served the citizens of Solihull. Our activities our wide ranging but aim to make a difference to individuals, groups or charitable organisations. We give grants to individuals in need, provide activities for disabled and elderly individuals as well as work closely with other charitable organisations.

The charity's object is to advance the Christian Faith as set out in the Doctrinal Basis and to relieve elderly, poor, sick, disabled, or infirm persons, and for those purposes, among other activities, to provide residential accommodation for such persons administered to the glory of God. Across our group of charities, we operate 12 residential care homes and 9 housing schemes for older people.

We fund special training schemes for the disabled to help them into full time work. We help the disabled and people on low incomes to fund their course fees. We provide equipment for the classrooms where the disabled are taught. We raise money by organising lectures by local personalities. The trustees are all working on a voluntary basis.

Our hall has recently been extended and refurbished. We now provide a main hall, a committee room, a modern kitchen and changing facilities for sports clubs using our recreation ground. Disabled access to the hall and the toilet is now available. A children's playground is next to the hall making the hall ideal for children's parties.

Eden Sight Support is developing its resources to provide support for vision impaired people in the Eden district. We want to ensure vision impaired people are not disadvantaged through disability, low income or lack of knowledge, but have access to: support, training in new skills, aids for everyday living, help provided by statutory authorities.

We provide space and facilities from young to old people for charitable and general purposes. We provide buildings and open space for sporting activities for young, old and disabled.
