To promote the craft of Hedgelaying and encourage good management of hedgerows and associated features that will benefit the conservation of hedgerows and associated flora and fauna.Encourage competitions throughout the country to improve the quality of craftsmanship.Encourage the training of young people in order to ensure the continuation of this heritage craft.
