The Welsh Intensive Care Society (WICS) works in Wales to advance the education of clinical staff caring for critically ill patients, promote critical care services nationally and internationally in collaboration with professional bodies and government and promote, through research and evidence-based practice, better healthcare standards and guidelines in care of the critically ill
