East and North Herts Charity supports patients of East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals, including the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre, through fundraising for additional equipment, better facilities and new research. We provide a benefit to patients and their relatives, by making their stay in hospital more comfortable and easing some of the associated anxiety.

We have fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Care by holding coffee mornings. The charity collect clothing and food for the homeless. Youth programs and activities take place.

We are a national charity helping people through the experience of breast cancer. We offer information, counselling and complementary therapies through our welcoming Havens and outreach programme. We work alongside the NHS to provide integrated breast cancer care and are committed to undertaking rigorous research to evaluate the effectiveness of our programmes in helping people with breast cancer.

Gastro-Intestinal and Liver Cancer research

Youth Cancer Trust delivers two core services: therapeutic wellbeing holidays in Dorset and secure digital support. These services are available free of charge to young people aged 18 and over who were diagnosed with cancer before the age of 30, provided they reside in the UK or Irish Republic. For holiday stays, each young person may bring one friend or sibling at no additional cost.

Research programmes into the treatment of cancer

A SUPPORT GROUP TO HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY CANCER.MEETINGS TAKE PLACE TWICE MONTHLY TO PROVIDE SUPPORT,ADVICE,REFRESHMENTS,SPEAKERS AND OUTINGS.

Funding of research in to the causes, prevention, treatment and cure of cancer (in particular but not exclusively head & neck cancer) in the United Kingdom (in particular, but not exclusively in East Anglia) and elsewhere including assistance in the development of findings of research into practical applications for the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer.

TO IMPROVE AND PROMOTE THE TREATMENT AND WELL BEING OF ONCOLOGY PATIENTS BY THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES AND TO IMPROVE THE TREATMENT ENVIRONMENT AT THE SOMERSET ONCOLOGY AND HAEMATOLOGY CENTRE.

Assist young people under the age of 18 whose lives have been affected by cancer, either through their own ill health or that of a parent or sibling, or through bereavement of a parent or sibling as a consequence of cancer.

Promotes research, innovation and training into colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease and related diseases including their causes, prevention, treatment and care and the advancement of new methods of diagnosis surgery. Advances education for public medical profession in all aspects of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel syndrome & related diseases.

Kent Cancer Trust aims to relieve the suffering of cancer patients and improve the provision of cancer care within Kent, particularly but not exclusively by developing and training medical staff, by promoting research into cancer leading to the development of new treatments and diagnostic aids and by educating the public in the cause and treatment of the disease.

To support and promote research into the causes of breast cancer with the aim of improving the clinical outcome and quality of life of the patients with the disease.To advance education in and understanding of breast cancer and its treatment by providing information to patients with the disease.

Our initial aim was to help treatment of children and adolescents with cancer in Malawi by supporting purchase of vital chemotherapy and funding the employment of a new nurse(s). We have helped purchase medical equipment and provide funds to improve facilities for patients and families. Travel grants for trustees (2) to provide expert specialist teaching and mentoring of staff have been funded.

We undertake "Challenges" in which the challengers are sponsored to help raise funds towards those who are touched with cancer. The funds are used towards varying projects where funding is not normally available via the NHS or other public bodies."Challenges" have included: walking, cycling, running, canoeing and have taken us from Cornwall to Ben Nevis to France/Belgium.

The charities objective is to finance areas of academic medical research to improve treatments and outcomes for patients with bowel cancer, Colitis and Crohn's disease through research programmes. Our research is based at St Georges hospital in Tooting, south west London.

BUST continues to fundraise for Southmead Hospital Breast Care Centre by providing state of the art equipment not available on the NHS. BUST is very grateful for donations from patients and supporters each year. A Members of BUST Group has been created to support and inform patients of the latest innovations in breast cancer care. This group can be asked for feedback on relevant issues.

To distribute funds to charities which meet the requirements of our deed of trust. The preference of the Trustees is to favour charities which are involved with children, cancer and are based in the UK.

We provide complementary therapy treatments free of charge to people living with cancer and their carers. These include: Aromatherapy massage; Scar tissue massage; Reflexology; Reiki; Hypnotherapy; Counselling; Homeopathy; Nutrition advice; Meditation; Psychotherapy, Shiatsu, Manual lymphatic drainage.

Our mission is to give families from the UK affected by the devastating impact of cancer, a much needed break from long hospital stays, traumatic medical procedures and cancer related treatments ? so that they may spend quality time together recuperating and enjoying life as a ?normal? family ? strengthening relationships and creating lasting happy memories.

Promoting natural healthcare and providing complementary therapies, especially in relation to cancer support.

The charity provides financial support to enable needy and able students from outside the UK to attend course at the London School of Economics.It also provides funds for the purchase, maintenance and improvement of facilities used or needed by terminally ill patients cared for by Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

The charity has provided and delivered treasure boxes to young children diagnosed with a brain tumour in the UK. Support has been offered and provided to the families of these children in the form of grants and family holiday accommodation. In the process of fundraising the charity has created awareness into childhood brain tumours and the effects on the child and their families.

The charity is working to widen access for the whole community to Integrated Medicine by supporting the education of medical professionals and students and by providing funding for cancer patients with limited financial means to undertake doctor led Integrated Medicine programs.

To provide support and complementary therapies primarily to those people experiencing cancer within Northamptonshire. To maintain appropriate records of clients receiving support and assessment. To recruit, support and supervise complementary therapists. To liaise, network and promote the Charity. To fundraise in order to financially support the Charity.

The aim of the Christian Blandford fund is to improve the comfort of children and their families, particularly those affected by cancer, during prolonged stays in NHS hospitals. We have worked mostly with St George's Hospital in Tooting but we have improved several other children's wards in the UK. We are now working closely with The Tesla Owners Group UK to provide mini electric cars for wards.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care provides palliative care for adults and children who have been diagnosed with cancer or another life limiting illness in Herts and Bucks. Through our 24/7 responsive hospice at home service, our specialist nurses give patients the choice to be cared for at home. We also offer support services for families and, in Herts, a range of day services for patients & families.

We have held or sanctioned events to raise income (eg 18k walk to Great Ormond Street Hospital). We have provided funds for Dominic Thompson's research (Neuro Surgeon at Great Ormond Street) and paid for a terminally ill teenager's trip to New York (via The Dream Factory). We are in the process of producing a guide to help families who have a child diagnosed with Cancer and a 2nd walk is planned.

The charity operates through making grants, prioritising those projects that focus on educating individuals on a variety of religions, creating an understanding of different religions and promoting the harmonisation or integration of different religions. The charity also makes grants to charities that support children's cancer patients and their families, cancer and stroke treatment and research.

CHARLIE'S BEACH HUT IS A SMALL FAMILY RUN CHARITY BASED IN PORTSMOUTH THAT RAISES MONEY TO HELP FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN THAT MEET OUR LEGALLY BINDING CHARITY OBJECTIVES TO HOLIDAY IN A "BEACH HUT" STYLE CARAVAN - "CHARLIE'S". CHARLIE'S IS SITUATED IN PERRANPORTH, CORNWALL, SO WE OPERATE AND LIAISE WITH BOTH CHILDREN'S CANCER WARDS IN SOUTHAMPTON AND TRURO.

We grant wishes to Children and their families whom are suffering from Childhood Cancer. This includes theme park tickets sporting events and gifts.

BaggyTrousersUK exists to promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of Testicular Cancer through the provision of financial assistance, support, education and practical advice; and to advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to Testicular Cancer.

We provide Mikayla's Wishes to children fighting Cancer and receiving treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, and Nottingham Children's Hospital. Trustees reserve discretion to serve/adopt other hospitalsFunds are raised via sponsored events, collections, stalls, public and commercial donations, with ZERO spent on staff

St Bernard Support provides assistance to people affected by life limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart disease etc. The people we help include people diagnosed with life limiting illnesses, their families and their carers. We also provide assistance and training to medical professionals and other organisations (charities, support groups etc) to enhance their ability to support people.

THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH BY:1) PROVIDING SUPPORT OF ALL KINDS FOR RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES, PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND/OR TREATMENT OF SECONDARY (METASTATIC) BREAST CANCER;2) RAISING AWARENESS OF, AND PROMOTING EDUCATION IN RELATION TO, SECONDARY (METASTATIC) BREAST CANCER

We support and raise awareness to kids and young adults with CNS tumours. The charity provides funds,support and guidance to kids,young adults,their families and carers as well as funding for medical research.

The Friends of St Andrews (FOSA) are volunteers who coordinate a year round programme of activities to raise funds to support educational and local community activities and projects. Each year the FOSA work towards raising funds for a school/community project as well as an external charity. The 2020/21 selected charity is "The Brain Tumour Charity".

Kay's Endeavours is a support fund for cancer patients being treated at St Bartholomew's Hospital. The charity's aim is to provide funding for measures which will improve the quality of life of the patient and / or their family and to address any gaps in the support which is already available.

The charity has continued to raise awareness of its existence and ability to support families with local fetes, Christmas Fayres, stalls, etc. Providing information through leaflets and word of mouth of the effects of childhood cancer, particularly in the very young. The trustees provided emotional support to newly diagnosed families and advise them of options available for support.

The relief and assistance of persons in the United Kingdom who have cancer by: (1) the provision of grants to oncology centres, (2) the provision of financial support, (3) the provision of grants to other charitable bodies to further objects (1) and (2).
