Blue Skye Thinking supports research into the treatment of childhood brain tumours, striving to give all children diagnosed, a better chance of survival and improved quality of life during and post treatment. Researchers are trying to establish new, innovative ways to treat children's brain tumours. Run by volunteers, money donated goes directly to the forefront of research and wellbeing projects.

The charity provides practical help to cancer patients and their families from diagnosis through to end of life care. We have a team of volunteer drivers who provide transport to and from hospital for appointments and treatment. Cash grants can be made available where appropriate. We fund various services through the Palliative Care Service and are the parent charity for the Rainbow Hospice Rooms

Cancer - Relief of sickness and health protection in East Africa

Foundation's policy is to provide grants, and services to individuals who do not have basic essentials to sustain life in Zimbabwe. It also provides grants for tuition fees, maintenance, books, computers, equipment, school uniforms to students lacking in financial resources in Zimbabwe. It also assists sick people in particular but not exclusively those suffering from HIV and cancer in Zimbabwe.

Talan's Trust fund raise to help fund a full time researcher into Rhabdomyosarcoma, a childhood cancer. The researcher is based at the ICR, Royal Marsden Hospital, Surrey.Talan's trust also raise awareness of childhood cancer at their events run throughout the year. These include an annual run, the Bath half marathon, the London marathon and varying events in Cornwall.

Maddi's Butterflies aims to ease the suffering of children undergoing cancer treatment, by providing small wishes and gifts. We also provide holidays to families affected by childhood cancer, in our caravan at Ribby Hall Village. We are based in Blackburn, but we do take referrals nationally. Children are referred to us via 3rd party charities, such as Clic Sargant or Macmillan.

Flynne's Barn is a place where young people living with cancer can come together and make connections in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District. During their stay visitors can find friendship and support from others who are going through similar experiences. A range of creative and outdoor activities are offered to promote enjoyment and wellbeing.

The Black Mountains Lions Club will consider many projects that fall within the following five guidelines, these are Vision, the Environment, Hunger, Paediatric Cancer and Diabetes. The Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance provides funding for areola and mastectomy tattoos, through our directory of approved artists, to people who have undergone mastectomy surgery due to Breast Cancer and BRCA diagnosis, or Gender Affirming.
