A village hall, providing services to the local community which includes; sports, health & fitness, dance, music, hobbies & childrens groups. Facilities are also used by the disabled & we provide meeting rooms for local groups, associations & charities. It is also used for a wide range of social activities.

We provide a building and facilities for hire for the purpose of educational, recreational, physical, social moral and intellectual development. There are 6 main areas:- main hall, lounge, kitchen, stage, further lounge with kitchen facilities, sports changing facilities and toilets, male, female and disabled individuals toilets.

SOCA manages a Community Centre in South Oxford for the benefit of the local inhabitants and works with local residents, the statutory authorities and voluntary and other organisations to advance education and provide facilities for recreation and social welfare without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, race or religion.

For use of inhabitants of the Parish of Mountfield and surrounding areas as a meeting place for village activities and recreations, such as parish council, social club, horticultural society, blind club, community transport, painting classes, dancing classes, birthday parties, wedding receptions, funeral wakes, fund raising activities.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, ADVICE, GUIDANCE AND TRAINING TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND OR PARTIALLY SIGHTED AND TO PROVIDE SUCH SERVICES AS CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND OR PARTIALLY SIGHTED MAY REQUIRE TO LEAD INDEPENDENT LIVES WITHIN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES OR OTHERWISE MEET THEIR NEEDS.

Able Child Africa works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind, bringing together a network of organisations that protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities. We work across Africa, breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive.

We work with small groups of vulnerable adults, including learning disabled, autistic, ex-offenders and those with mental health problems. We care for 5 acres of woodland, hedges and meadow and grow herb and wildflower plants to sell. We also produce an increasing number of our own preserves, cards, jewellery and gifts. The Willow Trust owns two purpose built boats operating on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal. During the course of a year 7,000 disabled and seriously ill children and adults spend a day on the fully wheelchair accessible boats. Nobody pays, facilities on board ensure even the most profoundly disabled person is able to enjoy a unique and inspiring day on the water away from their usual surroundings.

Amateur Theatrical Society providing the facillities for drama and performance to the general public for Adults & Young people of all ethnic origins whether able or disabled.

Provide relief to patients of the two local hospitals and other individuals in our local community who are sick,convalescent,disabled, handicapped infirm or in need of assistance and to support the work of the two hospitals by the making of grants to various departments or individuals. My Sight Nottinghamshire (working name for Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind) is dedicated to improving the lives of visually impaired people in Nottinghamshire.
